FOTI, J.

The defendant, Benjamin Jenkins, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-*51754a (a)1 and 53a-8,2 and two counts of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a) (5).3 The trial court imposed a total effective sentence of ninety years incarceration. On appeal, the defendant claims that (1) the court improperly denied his requests to dismiss his attorney and (2) prosecutorial misconduct deprived him of a fair trial. We affirm the judgment of the trial court.
