ERICKSTAD, Chief Justice.
Richard McNair appeals from a criminal judgment entered upon a jury verdict finding him guilty of attempted escape, and from an order denying his motion for a new trial. We affirm.
McNair is serving a life sentence at the State Penitentiary in Bismarck. On Sunday, April 21, 1991, Steven Scott, who was chief of security at the penitentiary, learned from an inmate about an escape plot involving McNair and another inmate.
