Sometime between midnight, Saturday, October 18, 1975, and 7:00 a. m. Monday morning, October 20,1975, the office trailer and main workshop of SFI, Inc., an industrial pump repair company located in Zachary, Louisiana, was burglarized. Tools and equipment valued between $19,257.68 and $21,078.65 were stolen. At the time of this burglary a multi-peril insurance policy issued by the defendant, United States Fire Insurance Company, was in effect covering theft and other losses.
