Pierron, J.:

Duncan Davis, M.D., filed a defamation action against Victor Hildyard, M.D., and Raymond Ketting, M.D. After discovery, the trial court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendants. Dr. Davis argues the district court erred in con-*23eluding the alleged slanderous statements were made in the context of peer review. Dr. Davis further contends there is sufficient evidence of malice and damages to allow the case to proceed to a jury-trial. We disagree and affirm the trial court’s well-reasoned opinion.
