Between 1991 and 1994, ATAC Corporation, C & R Investments, Inc., and two individuals (“the ATAC plaintiffs,” or “ATAC”) entered into a series of so-called master franchise agreements with Arthur Treacher’s, Inc. and its representatives. These agreements governed control of regional or master franchise territories for Arthur Treacher’s fish and chips restaurants in specified parts of the United States and Mexico.
