The defendant was charged in an indictment with the crime of murder. The jury by its verdict found it to be murder of the first degree, and fixed the punishment at confinement in the state prison for life. On appeal, the District Court of Appeal of the Second Appellate District, Division Two, affirmed the judgment of conviction and the order denying defendant’s motion for a new trial. On petition of defendant, the cause was transferred to this court for further consideration of the many contentions made by him that the trial court committed prejudicial error in the trial of the cause.
