OPINION

{¶ 1} Appellant, Jason A. Jeffers, appeals the judgment entered by the Lake County Court of Common Pleas. Jeffers was sentenced to five years in prison for his convictions for felonious assault and involuntary manslaughter.

{¶ 2} On Friday, February 7, 2006, Randall Kemp had a bad day at work. Following work, he went to a local bar and started drinking beer and whiskey. He called his girlfriend, Jacqueline Schmid, and asked her to meet him at the bar. Schmid met Kemp at the bar, and Kemp had several drinks with her.
