{¶ 1} Appellant, Walter Triplett, appeals his conviction and sentence for felonious assault with a repeat-violent-offender specification and assigns 13 errors for our review.1

{¶ 2} Having reviewed the record and pertinent law, we find plain error because the trial court commingled the jury instructions regarding the concepts of self-defense, defense of another, and duty to retreat, and failed to explain the duty to retreat.
