*158 The defendant, Richard Campbell, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a court trial, of attempt to commit murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-49 (a) (2) 1 and 53a-54a (a), 2 and risk of injury to a child in violation of General Statutes § 53-21 (a) (1). 3 On appeal, the defendant claims that the court's rejection of the affirmative defense of mental disease or defect, otherwise known as the insanity defense, was not reasonably supported by the evidence. 4 We affirm the judgment of the court.
