Appeal from a judgment of the Court of Claims (Benza, J.), entered January 23, 1996, upon a decision of the court following a bifurcated trial in favor of the State on the issue of liability.

Claimant commenced this action to recover damages for the personal injuries she sustained in a motorcycle accident that *777occurred on August 27, 1988 on State Route 67 in the Town of Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County.
