The State instituted a snit aginst each of the four defendants for the purpose of removing them from membership on the county board of education of Hawkins county for improper conduct in office. The four cases were consolidated for hearing, the issues submitted to a jury who found against the defendants, and a decree was entered removing them from office. Upon the motion for a new trial it appears from the record that the court and the respective counsel engaged in quite a lengthy colloquy as to granting a new trial. The court’s…
