Plaintiffs home was destroyed by fire on August 25, 1982. Defendant had issued a policy insuring plaintiffs home and its contents against risk of loss by fire, and the policy was in effect at the time of the loss. It provided limited compensation for additional living expenses incurred if a covered loss made the residence uninhabitable, for the actual cash value of the loss of the building and its contents and, under specific circumstances, for the replacement cost of the building and its contents.
