NATURE OF THE CASE

Appellant, Thomas G. Phillips (“Phillips”), appeals from the judgment of conviction and order of commitment of the district court. Phillips was charged with and convicted of one count of sexual abuse of a minor under the age of sixteen, in violation of I.C. § 18-1506. For this conviction, the court sentenced Phillips to a determinate term of fifteen years in prison.
