Petitioner, Edward Gregory, is in custody of respondent under judgment and sentence imposed after a jury trial in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri on July 17, 1980 for the crimes of attempted rape, burglary in the first degree and robbery in the second degree. He is serving consecutive sentences of seven, eight and ten years, respectively. Petitioner, on August 30, *7171982, filed pro se application for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254.
