The plaintiff in this action, Helen Liggins, joined by the Attorney General of Ohio, sued the defendants Professional Services Unlimited, Inc., (PSU) and the May Company alleging that they had sent her deceptive and unconscionable debt collection notices in an attempt to collect on a claim arising from a consumer transaction. She alleged that these acts and practices violated the Consumer Sales: Practices Act, R. C. 1345.01 et seq., and sought declaratory and injunctive relief.
