This is an appeal from the decree of the circuit court of Winnebago County terminating the parental rights of Virginia Gibson, mother of Rose Gibson, a minor. The decree is based on a finding by the court that Virginia Gibson is an unfit person in that she failed to maintain a reasonable degree of interest, concern or responsibility for the welfare of Rose Gibson, her daughter. (A default decree was also entered against the father, Roger Gibson, whose whereabouts are unknown. There is no appeal as to the decree against him.)
