This is an appeal by the city of Lincoln from a judgment of the district court affirming an award of the compensation court for the death of Warren Hendershot.

The facts disclose that the deceased was a strong, healthy *607man, who had scarcely been sick a day since he was operated on for appendicitis about ten years before the accident. He was married in 1923, and had resided at 301 North Forty-fourth street, Lincoln, for 12 years, and was the father of four children, who with his wife, the plaintiff, survive him.
