|, Debris from a flipping truck struck the vehicle of an on-duty deputy for the St. Landry Parish Sheriffs Office. The deputy and his wife brought suit against the driver, his employer and its insurer, alleging that the crash caused severe injuries to the deputy’s back. At trial, the defendants presented the testimony of Dr. Charles Bain, an alleged biomechanics and causation analysis expert, who testified that the low-impact accident did not cause the deputy’s injuries.
