At the State election held on the second Monday of September, 1922, in Oxford County, Frank F. Woodside was the regular party nominee for sheriff on the Republican ballot and William 0. Frothingham, the regular party nominee on the Democratic ballot, for the same office. The returns, as counted by the Governor and Council, gave Woodside 5,002 votes; Frothingham, 4,990; and scattering, 2.
