Certain residents of Washington county having presented to the board of supervisors of that county, a petition for the opening of a public road through the lands of John R. Cameron, such steps were taken that subsequently the road asked for was ordered-to be opened and worked, and an overseer of such proposed road was appointed and directed to proceed to open and work the same. At this stage of the proceedings the said Cameron filed in the chancery court of Washington county, his bill of complaint, praying an injunction staying the further progress of said road.
