In this workers’ compensation case, we encounter a particularly vexing statutory construction problem involving the question of when the Workers’ Compensation Commission (“Commission”) will lose jurisdiction to decide a worker’s additional requests for relief while a previous order is being appealed. On two separate occasions, Respondent Edy Sanchez filed for benefits with the Commission while previous orders, in the same claim, were pending on appeal in the courts.
