Affirming upon appeal of appellant, Eoss, in part and reversing in part, and reversing upon appeal of Jefferson county.

These appeals are taken upon the same record. "William E. Eoss was inducted into the office of sheriff of Jefferson county on the first Monday of January, 1918, having been elected at the previous election of November, 1917. His term began, as above stated, and ended on the first Monday of January, 1922'.
