Respondent was admitted to the Bar in the Second Judicial Department in 1942.

On December 16, 1971 an information was filed by the United States Attorney charging respondent with the crimes of unlawfully failing to file Federal income tax returns for the calendar years 1965 and 1966. On December 20,1971, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, he pleaded guilty to the crime of unlawfully failing to file a Federal income tax return for the calendar year 1965, in violation of section 7203 of title 26 of the United States Code.
