WILKINS, Circuit Judge:

Lester Leroy Hummer appeals his convictions of interfering with commerce by threats, 18 U.S.C.A. § 1951 (West 1984), traveling interstate in aid of racketeering enterprises, 18 U.S.C.A. § 1952 (West Supp.1990), threatening to tamper with consumer products that affect interstate commerce, 18 U.S.C.A. § 1365(d) (West 1984), and mailing threatening communications, 18 U.S.C.A. § 876 (West 1976). He contends that evidence seized in a warrantless search of his truck should have been suppressed because his consent to search the vehicle was not freely and voluntarily given.…
