after stating the facts: Among the numerous exceptions by the defendant there are none to the admission of testimony, and but two to its exclusion. The defendant proposed to ask the plaintiff: “Did not Griffith ad*371mit before the mayor that he did not pay his street car fare? That he was so tight that he did not know much about it?
