Appeal by the defendants, Amos 0. Hall and another, from a judgment of the Supreme Court in favor of the plaintiff, entered in the office of the clerk of the county of Kings on the 28th day of April, 1896, upon the decision of the court rendered after a trial at the Kings County Special Term.

Cullen, J.:

This is an action to have two deeds, executed on two tax sales of a lot of land in the twenty-sixth ward of the city of Brooklyn, and subsequent deeds by which the title of the tax purchasers became vested in the defendants, adjudged void as a cloud upon the plaintiff’s title. The sales were made for unpaid taxes for the years 1872 *582to 1883 inclusive. During this period, the twenty-sixth -ward in the city of Brooklyn was the town of Hew Lots in the county of Kings.
