This case came before the Supreme Court on May 4, 2011, pursuant to an order directing the parties to appear and show cause why the issues raised in this appeal should not summarily be decided. Raymond Staffier (Staffier or defendant) appeals from a conviction of three counts of second-degree child molestation, for which he was sentenced to fifteen years at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI), with six years to serve and nine years suspended on each count, all sentences to run concurrently. 1 Staffier also was acquitted of one charge of…
