Defendant Second Injury Fund appeals by leave granted from a Workers’ Compen*250sation Appeal Board decision affirming and modifying the hearing referee’s award of compensation benefits to plaintiff.

Plaintiff injured his left hip and left leg when he was ten years old, in 1933, when he fell from a tree, causing his left hip to become fused and his left leg to grow to be three inches shorter than his right leg.
