Plaintiff Molly Joel Coye, M.D., Director of the California Department of Health Services (hereafter Department), 1 filed (in her official capacity) a complaint against defendants Leonard T. Hope, Jr., Michael M. Hope, Warren J. Hope and Mary P. Bamthouse, seeking to recover the value of Medi-Cal benefits provided to Myrtle M. Hope, the decedent and mother of the defendants.
