This suit was instituted by Louise Lipscomb against the city of Wichita Falls to recover damages for personal injuries sustained to her leg and ankle. According to allegations in the petition, her injuries occurred in the following manner: She parked her car near the William Mary Hotel, situated on the corner of Tenth and Travis streets in the city of Wichita Falls, while she visited a friend in the hotel, and upon returning to her car after making the visit, and while crossing a narrow strip between the sidewalk and the curb, she stepped on the lid or covering of what is known as a meter box…
