COTTERAL, District Judge.

This action was brought against the Director General of Railroads (for whom the plaintiff in error has been substituted) by the defendant in error to recover damages for personal injuries sustained, as his petition avers, while he was employed as a switchman, by falling because of a defective handhold in the ladder of a car moving in interstate commerce, in the yards of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad Company, at Alliance, Neb.
