Atlantic Lloyd's Insurance Co. of Texas v. Susman Godfrey, L.L.P.
Texas Court of Appeals, 5th District (Dallas)
1Opinion of the Court
OPINION
OVARD, Justice.
This is an appeal from a summary judgment in a declaratory action brought by an insurer, Atlantic Lloyd’s Insurance Company of Texas (Atlantic), to determine coverage under a general liability insurance policy issued to the law firm of Susman Godfrey, L.L.P., including two of its attorneys, Jeffrey W. Chambers and Thomas A. Adams, IV (collectively “the Firm”). The pivotal issue is whether an attorney’s solicitation letter sent to a prospective client provided a profession al service. We conclude it did not. For this and other reasons set out below, we affirm.
