[,The plaintiff alleged injury to his knee following an automobile accident. Although the plaintiffs insurer provided some medical treatment for the knee injury, it denied a recommended knee reconstruction. Thereafter, the plaintiff filed suit against his insurer as well as the driver of the other vehicle and the defendant driver’s insurer. The trial court found in favor of the plaintiff, awarding lost wages and ordering the plaintiffs insurer to provide knee surgery within a year if pursued by the plaintiff.
