— Transporting intoxicating liquor is the offense; punishment fixed at confinement in the penitentiary for a period of one year.
Three peace-officers, Talley, Hancock, and Willis, were in an automobile on the public road between the towns of Mexia and Teague at about ten o’clock at night".
