On June 27, 1924, one Peter Van der "Wei executed three promissory notes for $800 each to the intervener, Orton, maturing respectively on February 1 and December 1, 1925, and February 1, 1926. On December 12, 1924, tbe intervener indorsed tbe three notes to tbe Plymouth County Savings Bank of Le Mars, Iowa, in blank. At tbe same time a written made, as follows: agreement was
