Mona M. Wilson, a married woman, was convicted in Sheridan county of having wickedly and maliciously administered a deadly poison, namely, a quantity of strychnine, to her mother, Mrs. Olive E. Loomis, and from the effects of the poison so administered, her mother died the same day. Pursuant to the submitted evidence, the jury found the defendant guilty of first degree murder and fixed the penalty at life imprisonment in the penitentiary.
