— On July 21, 1909, the board of county commissioners of Canyon county made an order directing that a special election be held in said county on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1909, to determine by ballot whether the sale or disposal of intoxicating liquors as a beverage should be prohibited within the limits of said county, under an act of the legislature of this state approved Feb. 20,1909 (Laws of 1909, p. 9), and commonly known as the local option law.
