Father, R.E.P., and stepmother, D.P., appeal from the judgment modifying child custody provisions of the decree dissolving father’s marriage to mother, D.S.P. We affirm in part and reverse in part.

On January 16, 1986, the date on which the decree of dissolution of marriage was entered, mother was granted primary custody of three children born of the marriage. Two sons were born, one in July, 1973, the second in May, 1975. The youngest child, a daughter, was born in March, 1980.
