CARTER, Justice.

This appeal requires us to decide whether the trial court erred in reforming a jury verdict based upon the posttrial testimony of jurors that the verdict originally announced and approved by the court differed from the result upon which the jury had agreed. Upon considering the arguments of the parties, we are convinced that the record will not sustain reformation of the verdict and that the proper relief to be granted is a new trial on the issue of damages.
