Defendant, Jeremy Gardner, appeals the district court's denial of his motion for post-conviction relief under Crim. P. 85(c), following the entry of guilty pleas. We affirm the district court's order in part, reverse it in part, and remand for proceedings consistent with this opinion.

I. Background
