In 2004, the brand-name manufacturer of Reglan, known generically as metoclopramide, received approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to publish new label warnings about the dangers of the long-term use of metoclopramide. Plaintiffs are individuals who took metoclopramide, the generic form of Reglan. They claim that defendant generic drug manufacturers of metoclopramide did not timely upgrade their label warnings to match the FDA-approved brand-name labeling.
