Post-trial motions are before the court for decision.
On February 5, 2001, the plaintiffs in both of these cases settled their claims with Deep Enterprises. Those settlements also resolved suits among *262these plaintiffs and Deep which were then pending in the Circuit Court of the City of Hampton. A jury was then empaneled in the Circuit Court of the City of Virginia Beach. For two weeks, in a single consolidated trial, die jury heard Anand’s and the Bhatts’ claims against Dilip R. Patel and C. Kent Allison.
