Plaintiffs in this private civil antitrust action are eighteen independent pharmacy owners doing business in San Antonio, Texas. Defendant Group Life and Health Insurance Company, also known as Blue Shield of Texas (“Blue Shield”), is an insurance company duly authorized by the Texas State Board of Insurance to transact the business of life, health and accident insurance within the State of Texas.
