Defendant was convicted of the crime of aiding and abetting her husband in committing rape upon her daughter, Elizabeth Nax. Elizabeth Nax is the illegitimate daughter of defendant and was born and brought up in Germany and at the time of the alleged crime was between 16 and 17 years of age. The defendant came to this country from Germany some years ago and was married to Frank Werner. In February, 1921, Elizabeth Nax came from Germany to live with her mother and stepfather.
