Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Chemung County (Buckley, J.), rendered June 18, 2001, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crime of promoting prison contraband in the first degree.
Defendant was indicted for promoting prison contraband in the first degree, based on an incident wherein a razor blade was found on his person while he was an inmate at the Elmira Correctional Facility in Chemung County.
