This is an action of contract on a promissory note by the payee against the makers and an indorser. The only questions to be decided relate to the alleged liability of Lawrence Sadolf, an indorser, hereafter called the defendant. The defendant in his answer admitted his signature on the reverse side of the note, but averred that such signature was placed on the note after delivery to the plaintiff and without any consideration.
