Plaintiff-appellee, Maria Colella, as special administrator of the estate of Francesco Colella, deceased, brought the instant lawsuit to recover damages after her husband Francesco was struck and killed by a dump truck in a construction accident. Maria Colella brought this suit against the owner of the truck and its driver, defendants-appellants JMS Trucking Company of Illinois, Inc., an Illinois corporation (JMS), and Samuel J.
