Pursuant to his pleas, Appellant was convicted of attempted kidnapping, attempted robbery, and two specifications of conspiracy in violation of Articles 80 and 81, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. §§ 880, 881 (2000), respectively. Pursuant to a pretrial agreement, the convening authority approved the sentence of a dishonorable discharge, ten years of confinement, and forfeiture of all pay and allowances, but suspended confinement in excess of seven years.
