The appellant, Hosea Youngblood, was indicted and tried in February 1952, for the alleged murder of Bay Broomfield on December 8, 1951. The jury convicted the accused of the crime of manslaughter and he was sentenced to serve a term of fifteen years in the state penitentiary.
