Plaintiff Lamoine School Committee (“Lamoine”) filed this action pursuant to 20 U.S.C. § 141500(2) of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA” or “the Act”) 1 challenging a decision of a Maine Department of Education Hearing Officer (“Hearing Officer”). The Hearing Officer granted Defendant Ms. Z’s request for reimbursement in connection with the placement of her son (“N.S.”) at the School of Urban Wilderness Survival (SUWS) in North Carolina and the Academy at Cedar Mountain, a private school in Utah.
